Volunteer Roles
Squad Leader
Friday evenings + weekly prep
Lead a group of 6-10 Troops in your assigned Unit. Deliver weekly sessions including IPD and activities. Primary point of contact for your Troops.
Secondary Leader / Helper
Friday evenings
Support Squad Leaders and provide coverage when needed. Step in to lead when primary Leaders are absent.
Ground Staff
Friday evenings (arrive 5:20pm)
Handle logistics: setup, resources, equipment, facility management. Essential operational support without direct child interaction.
Specialist Volunteer
Variable
Contribute specific expertise: first aid, outdoor skills, sports coaching, program development, administration.
Requirements
- Current Working With Children Check
- Commitment to MSA values and Islamic ethos
- Reliability and punctuality
- Willingness to complete MSA leader training
- Positive attitude and teamwork orientation
- Age: 18+ for Leaders, 19-21 for Mentors
