Questions parents ask

How long will we wait?

We can't promise a date. Places open when a group has room, and they go in order: the family that has waited longest, counted from the day you first joined, is offered first.

We joined the list before. Do we need to join again?

No. Your place in line is kept from the date you first joined, so there's no need to fill in the form again.

How much does it cost?

Term fees, the deposit and payment dates come with your offer. Sibling discounts are available. Camps are paid for separately.

When and where are sessions?

Friday evenings during school term, in Sydney. You'll get the venue and times with your offer.

Is there a program for girls?

Yes. Seekers and Strivers each have a girls' group and a boys' group with their own leaders. Explorers meet as one group.

My child is under 6. Can they join?

Children join from age 6. You can add younger children to the list now, and we'll be in touch once they're old enough.

My child is 16 or 17. Can they join?

Pioneers, our program for 16 and 17 year olds, is coming in 2027. You can add your teen to the waitlist now.

My children are different ages. Can they all join?

Yes. You can add up to six children on one form. Each child joins the group for their age, so siblings may be in different groups.

How do you keep children safe?

Our leaders must hold a current NSW Working With Children Check and complete MSA training before they lead a group. Each group has a code of conduct, and our Safety and Compliance Officer looks after child safety.
